iPhone 15 series battery capacities have finally been revealed. How big of an upgrade are they really?

A recent discovery from a Chinese regulatory database has revealed the battery capacities of Apple’s latest iPhone 15 series. Interestingly, the data shows that the iPhone 15 Pro Max has the largest battery unit, while the iPhone 15 Pro features the smallest.

Although the new iPhones are getting bigger batteries compared to the iPhone 14 series, it is the optimisations of the SoC that will lead to better battery life

Despite a surge in demand for the iPhone 15 Pro as pre-orders opened worldwide, causing initial delivery estimates to extend into November, the Pro Max model has seen even longer delivery dates, with some reaching mid-November in the US and up to an eight-week delay for certain Pro Max models in India. This delay trend may persist and worsen as more pre-orders are placed.

According to the database details obtained by MySmartPrice, here are the battery capacities for the iPhone 15 series:

– iPhone 15: 3,349mAh battery
– iPhone 15 Plus: 4,383mAh battery
– iPhone 15 Pro: 3,274mAh battery
– iPhone 15 Pro Max: 4,422mAh battery

Comparatively, the previous iPhone 14 series had the following battery capacities:

– iPhone 14: 3,279mAh battery
– iPhone 14 Plus: 4,325mAh battery
– iPhone 14 Pro: 3,200mAh battery
– iPhone 14 Pro Max: 4,323mAh battery

Despite these incremental increases in battery capacity, Apple has primarily focused on discussing the new iPhone’s battery life and hasn’t explicitly stated whether users can expect a significantly improved experience compared to the previous models. It’s likely that any differences are subtle and may not result in noticeable enhancements in real-world usage.

The iPhone 15 lineup offers a range of pricing options to suit different budgets.

The base model, which comes with 128GB of storage, is priced at Rs 79,900. If you need more storage space, the 256GB version is available for Rs 89,900, while the 512GB version is priced at Rs 1,09,900.

For those interested in the iPhone 15 Plus, the 128GB model is priced at Rs 89,900, and the 256GB variant can be yours for Rs 99,900. There’s also a 512GB model for the iPhone 15 Plus, which is on sale for Rs 1,19,900.

Moving on to the iPhone 15 Pro, the 128GB model is available for Rs 1,34,900, and the 256GB variant is priced at Rs 1,44,900. If you require even more storage, there’s a 512GB model for Rs 1,64,900, and for those seeking the utmost storage capacity, the 1TB variant is available for Rs 1,84,900.

With this wide range of options, Apple aims to cater to the diverse preferences and needs of its customers.
