The technology giant headquartered in Cupertino has announced that the iPhone 15 features a cutting-edge Super Retina XDR display employing OLED technology. Furthermore, the company has proudly revealed that the iPhone 15’s battery incorporates 100% recycled cobalt, a noteworthy environmental initiative.
In terms of camera capabilities, Apple is introducing a significant enhancement with the inclusion of a 48-megapixel camera in the iPhone 15, a notable advancement from the 12-megapixel sensor found in last year’s non-Pro iPhones. Additionally, the latest iPhone boasts a 2X telephoto option for capturing high-quality photos and shooting 4K videos.
The most significant upgrade within the iPhone 15 series is the adoption of the USB Type-C charging port. This transition to USB-C is not exclusive to the iPhone, as it’s also being implemented in the AirPods Pro and EarPods. Kaiann Drance, Apple’s Vice President of iPhone Marketing, made this announcement during a launch event, emphasizing that USB-C has emerged as a universally recognized standard, making it a fitting addition to the iPhone 15.
Inside the iPhone 15, you’ll find the A16 Bionic chip, which was initially introduced as the powerhouse behind the iPhone 14 Pro. Apple has highlighted that this new chip boasts an enhanced graphics processing unit (GPU) compared to the A15 chip, as well as improved high-performance cores when compared to its predecessor, the A15.
The iPhone 15 is available at a starting price of Rs 79,990 while the iPhone 15 Plus can be purchased for Rs 89,990.
iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max

The iPhone 15 Pro introduces an adaptable Action Button, which now requires a press rather than a slide for muting functions, and it can be customized for various other actions.
Powering the Apple iPhone 15 Pro series is the A17 Pro chip, built on a cutting-edge 3nm manufacturing process with 19 billion transistors. This chip combines micro-architectural enhancements for both performance and power efficiency. Apple asserts that the power cores deliver desktop-level performance, while the neural engine is twice as fast as its predecessor.
The 48MP sensors on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are larger than those on the non-Pro models, enabling the capture of high-resolution 48MP RAW images.
