The much-anticipated Apple Wonderlust event for 2023 is set to unfold later today, with the star of the show being the iPhone 15 series. This lineup is expected to encompass the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
In a pre-launch leak, it’s come to light that the iPhone 15 Pro models will carry a heftier price tag, thanks to a slew of exciting upgrades, notably the introduction of a titanium frame.
Mark Gurman, a reputable source from Bloomberg, has reported that the iPhone 15 Pro models will depart from the stainless steel body construction of their predecessors and instead feature a sleek titanium frame.
This transition will result in these models being approximately 10 per cent lighter than their forerunners, owing to the lightweight nature of titanium. Additionally, it’s been revealed that these handsets will be equipped with the A17 chip and a boost in RAM, promising a substantial improvement in battery life.
This could potentially translate into extended hours of usage, surpassing the 23 hours of video playback offered by the previous generation.
Notably, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to be powered by the A16 chipset, whereas the new A17 chip will remain exclusive to the Pro models, a trend consistent with previous releases.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Pro Max model is anticipated to feature a periscope lens, which would effectively double the iPhone’s zooming capabilities, enabling users to zoom in from 3x to an impressive 6x.
When it comes to pricing, Gurman’s reports suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models are likely to see an increase in cost this year. This uptick in price can be attributed to the inclusion of titanium frames, new camera sensors, and additional storage capacity.
These enhancements are expected to result in a price difference of $200 to $300 or about Rs 16,000 to Rs 24,000 between the standard iPhone models and the Pro models, reflecting the premium features and improvements that the Pro lineup brings to the table.
