Apple iPhone 15: Here’s how much Indian customers need to pay for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro series

The eagerly anticipated iPhone 15 is set to be unveiled later today at Apple’s Wonderlust event, commencing at 10:30 PM in India. While many are eagerly awaiting to discover the new features the iPhone 15 series will bring, there’s also significant curiosity surrounding its pricing.

The official pricing details will be revealed during Apple’s event, but we can glean some insights by considering the leaked price information that has been circulating.

Starting with the standard iPhone 15 and its Plus variant, it’s possible that their prices may remain consistent with their current rates or experience a slight increase.

If Apple sticks to its existing pricing strategy, we could anticipate the iPhone 15 starting at its customary Rs 79,900. However, it’s essential to note that the leaked pricing is not official, so it should be taken with a degree of caution. The iPhone 15 Plus might retain its price tag of Rs 89,900.

Conversely, the iPhone 15 Pro is rumoured to undergo a substantial price hike. The Pro model is said to experience a $100 increase, with the Pro Max potentially seeing a $200 uptick. According to the leaks, this could translate to a price increase from $999 (approximately Rs 82,900) to $1,099 (roughly Rs 91,200) for the iPhone 15 Pro version. However, it’s important to note that Apple typically introduces its products in India at higher prices compared to the U.S. market, primarily due to customs and various other factors. As such, the leaks suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro in India might be priced at around Rs 1,39,900.

Furthermore, there are indications that the iPhone 15 Pro Max could bear a price tag of $1,299, up from last year’s $1,099. Following Apple’s currency conversion practices and other considerations, this could potentially result in a launch price of around Rs 1,59,900 in India, considering the trend seen with the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which was initially introduced at Rs 1,39,900.

At this juncture, it remains uncertain what the exact India prices of both Pro models will be, but they are likely to either match last year’s prices or potentially be higher, considering pricing trends.
